Mary Lou is a founding member of Central Kentucky Art Guild and has held most positions in the Guild. In 2012, she was voted CKAG ‘Artist of the Year’.
Mary Lou has nine watercolor portraits in the Kentucky State Capitol of honored Kentucky women. Portraits, especially of children, and the effects of light on glass and reflections are what interest her the most.
Painting in oil as a young person, she now concentrates on watercolor and pastels. She took art courses at University of Louisville and with numerous national level teachers.
