The opening reception for 2017 CKAG ‘Artist of the Year’ Thomas Hammett was on Friday Oct 12, 2018. Tom is a metal artist, specializing in Chasing and Repousse`. It is an ancient art form that shapes and decorates metals by hammering on the back and front. Thomas specializes in custom jewelry but has extended his subjects to landscapes, portraiture and wildlife. The exhibit was put together with a lot of thought on showing the viewer his process. The show will be in display through Oct 31 at the ECTC Morrison Gallery on College Street, Elizabethtown, KY. Please stop by to enjoy this wonderful artwork during college hours.
I am the special events coordinator for greenspace in elizabethtown..On April 20th we are hosting two events for one great cause..i am looking for painters and artist that might be interested in participating in Art in the Park at freeman lake from 9 to 3 pm an earth day and easel celebration and later that evening …earth day uncorked event at pritchard comm.
